The Gulf Coast League Twins were the only Twins Minor League affiliate to win on Monday, as they squeaked past the GCL Reds 7-6. Third Baseman Juan Richardson continued his hot hitting, going 1-2 at the plate, and drove in two runs. The two runs batted in gave him 31 on the young season, as he boosted his batting average to .317. Daniel Berlind picked up his sixth win of the season, tossing six innings of one-run ball. In those frames, Berlind allowed five hits, walked one, struck out one, and lowered his season earned run average to 1.94. Daniel Rondon pitched the ninth inning, allowing two runs (one earned), but did pick up a strikeout. In earning his 12th save of the season, Rondon saw his earned run average rise to 0.82. He has been one of the more dominant closers in the GCL this season. 2007 First Rounder Ben Revere picked up two hits in the game, raising his batting average to .318. Nick Biagini had a great game at the plate as well, driving in two runs, while swiping his second base of the season.
