, who batted over .300 during the 2005 season as a member of the Elizabethton Twins, was promoted to Fort Myers on Tuesday, after playing the entire 2006 season with the Beloit Snappers. At the time of his promotion, Moore was batting .286 for the Snappers, and has driven in 27 runs. Moore was a fourth round selection of the Twins in the 2005 draft, and played his college ball at East Tennessee State University.
This season, Moore was selected to the Midwest League All-Star Game, staking his claim as one of the better players in the league. He has always been able to hit, and he should be able to help out the Fort Myers Miracle lineup. With this move, the Miracle now have a pretty solid lineup in place, after the arrival of Steven Tolleson and David Winfree earlier in the month.
The Twins promoted Caleb Moore from the Midwest League to the Florida State League on Tuesday, giving the slugging catcher his first taste of High-A professional baseball. Moore, who was selected to the Midwest League All-Star Game, was batting .286 at the time of his call-up.
