Deeds Enjoys Memorable Season

Last season at Fort Myers, Douglas Deeds did something he had never done in his proffesional career; he finished the year with a batting average under .300. He ended that season with a .294 average, not bad at all for the Florida State League, but he was back over .300 in 2005. He ended the year fifth in the Eastern League with a .304 average, and cemented his place as a top outfield prospect.
