In the past ten days, June 24-July 3, these 20 players have excelled on the diamond. Whether it was with the glove, on the hill, or at the dish; these players changed the outcome of the games they were in. Many players are big-time prospects, while others are trying to make a name for themselves within the organization. Here is a look at the top performers from the last ten days:

1. David Winfree, 3B-Beloit: Twins’ Minor League Player of the Week hit .442 in nine games over the past ten days. Winfree also scored eight runs, hit two home runs, and drove in 18.

2. Danny Santiesteban, CF-GCL Twins: Began his career by hitting home runs in three straight games this week. The budding slugger hit .345 over the last ten days with seven runs, four home runs, and 11 RBI.

3. Daniel Matienzo, 1B-New Britain: Eastern League All-Star hit .333 over the past ten days, blasting four home runs and driving in 15. The DH/1B also scored eight runs.

4. Brock Peterson, 1B-Fort Myers: A rock at the plate for Fort Myers in the past week and a half, Peterson hit .412 in ten games. He also hit his seventh home run of the year while scoring six runs and driving in five.

5. Eduardo Morlan, SP-Elizabethton: Morlan won two decisions in two starts in the last ten days. The 19-year old right-hander threw 12 innings, striking out 18 while allowing only one base hit. Oh yeah, no earned runs in that span is nice too.

6. Douglas Deeds, RF-New Britain: Deeds, who was named an Eastern League All-Star this week, hit .375 over the last ten days, with two home runs and ten RBI. Doug also scored 13 times while wrapping 15 base hits.

7. Adam Harben, SP-Fort Myers: The 21-year old right-handed hurler went 1-0 the past ten days in his two starts. Harben struck out six in 12 innings of work while allowing only one earned run.

8. Juan Portes, SS-Elizabethton: Portes was clutch with the bat these past ten days, hitting .367 while driving in seven runs. The shortstop also hit two home runs and scored seven runs in his 30 at-bats.

9. Oswaldo Sosa, SP-Elizabethton: Sosa notched his first two wins for Elizabethton, going 2-0 in his two starts. He threw 11 innings, striking out nine, and allowing only two earned runs.

10. Chris Heintz, C-Rochester: The catcher hit .343 for the Red Wings, blasting two home runs while driving in eight. Heintz also scored six times in his 35 at-bats.

11. Errol Simonitsch, SP-New Britain: Errol picked up his first AA win as he went 1-1 in his two starts. Called-up from Fort Myers, Errol allowed four earned runs while striking out eight in the process.

12. Richard Sojo, RF-GCL Twins: Sojo began his career by hitting .429 over the last ten days. The right-fielder also scored two runs while driving in three.

13. Caleb Moore, C-Elizabethton: The slugging catcher hit two home runs while driving in six in the last ten days. He batted .444 while scoring six runs as well.

14. Jeffrey Schoenbachler, SP-GCL Twins: The 19-year old left-hander started two games these past ten days, going 1-0 with 11 strikeouts. Jeffrey allowed two earned runs in his nine innings of work.

15. Alexander Romero, LF-New Britain: Batted .324 with a home run during these past ten days. The slugger also drove in eight runs while scoring five himself.

16. Travis Bowyer, CL-Rochester: Bowyer was named to both the Future Stars Game and the International League All-Star Game in the past week and a half, as he continued to pitch well. He was 1-0 with a save in six innings of work in the past ten days. He did not allow an earned run and struck out seven in the process.

17. Kevin West, RF-Rochester: West played in ten games, batting .333 with two home runs and five RBI. He also scored seven times as he wrapped 14 hits.

18. Garrett Jones, 1B-Rochester: The big slugging first baseman hit .308 in the last ten days, blasting two home runs and driving in six. He also scored nine times and recorded 12 base hits.

19. Nick Blackburn, SP-Fort Myers: Blackburn outdueled Tampa ace Tyler Clippard en route to a 2-0 record the past ten days. He threw 16 innings, which included his first complete game of the year.

20. Kyle Waldrop, SP-Beloit: Kyle allowed four earned runs in 15 innings of work. He went 1-0 in the process, striking out seven.
